So much has been said about Trayvon Martin over the past month, from protests to rallies to marches and public service announcements. So many have spoken up about the injustice that is still being perpetrated, about the arrest that still hasn’t been made. About the way things have unfolded. From false testimonies to tribute songs, it’s been a wide range of words, and thoughts, and emotions. Because, as human beings, that’s all we can do. And that makes me sad.
One of the latest tributes to the slain teenager took place in a recording studio in New Orleans last week, with dead prez and the artist formerly known as Mos Def collaborating on a track to speak out against the way things have gone down.
