This post was just supposed to be a friendly reminder that the latest edition of Vh1′s Storytellers featuring Maxwell airs tonight at 11:00 PM on the former music channel. It was just supposed to be something to make you aware that ole boy was still on the scene and that, if you were heading out tonight to enjoy the pre-summer night, you should set your DVRs and support his show.
It was supposed to be all of that. And then, a preview of the show hit my inbox this morning, with a clip of the Brooklyn native performing the song “Fistful of Tears” on the pre-recorded show, complete with the story behind the song.
Sure, he drops a few names along the way, but that’s allowed. I mean, clearly folks drop his name on a hourly daily basis.
