Finally, the visuals for Ledisi‘s gorgeous track “Pieces of Me” debuted today after two months of heavy radio play and promotion. And it comes at an opportune time, with the album in stores on and online everywhere tomorrow.
The mid tempo song, as we’ve stated here before, is an anthemic tribute to the many facets, or pieces, of womanhood, with Ledisi clearly stating how complicated (fo’ sho’!) a woman can be. The clip, with all of its vibrant colors and flowery background, is a green screen delight, showing Ledisi’s many moods.
Very well done, although I was hoping for some type of story line to accompany the track. And that’s probably unfair, since it’s just the writer in me that wants that. The clip is fine as is, as a story would most likely distract from the message of empowerment that’s being conveyed.
Check the clip after the jump and let us know if you’re feeling Ledisi’s “Pieces.”
