It’s DAY TWO of the MARCH MADNESS FINAL FOUR, with two great matchups taking place that will determine who will be crowned as the best male artist in the nation.
Yesterday, Maxwell and Dwele showed up and showed out in one bracket (EAST Vs. MIDWEST). Today we get what more heat with the LUTHER VANDROSS WEST DIVISION winner and #1 seed Raphael Saadiq Vs. DONNY HATHAWAY SOUTH DIVISION champion and #2 seed Anthony Hamilton. Throw into the mix that both gentlemen had a somewhat spirited march to the Final Four, and we have the potential for a battle royale.
You can still vote for yesterday’s matchup HERE. Right now, let’s get to the music, as the FINAL FOUR rolls on, with the final taking place this Thursday and a CHAMPION being unveiled on Friday.
Ready? Set… GO!
Ranking: #1, WEST DIVISION CHAMPION
Of Note: Strong march to the Final Four for Saadiq, who favored having the division named after his idol Stevie Wonder. Even without the name change, his resiliency–and his fans–have propelled him to the precipice of the Finals.
“Me and You” Raphael Saadiq (of Tony! Toni! Tone!)
Boyz N The Hood Motion Picture Soundtrack
(1991, Qwest/Warner Bros. Music)
Ranking: #2, SOUTH DIVISION CHAMPION
Of Note: Biggest challenge came in the divisional semis against a fellow Anthony (David). His appearance in the Final Four comes just before a new album and summer tour. Think it’s safe to say he’s in game shape as the battle to the Finals commences.
“Charlene” Anthony Hamilton
